
Stayin’ alive seems to the goal of this Summer! Motivation and health have taken a hit recently… the heat and related disruptions have never been so annoying…
Every summer, when things get hard, I ask myself what the purpose of these runs is. Do I need to run because I have created myself this ‘runner’ image or I really love running?
Running has been part of my life always… and I miss it when I won’t get to run… call it love or obsession…
These days getting a run in is a bargain – do I need to step out today or can I just run on treadmill?
As I prepare myself for the new season, I can’t just wait around for the weather to improve. In Delhi, you can never have a ‘good weather’… So, I’d rather focus on setting my goals, updating my race calendar, scheduling my travel and vacation wisely, better planning of nutrition (this has been my weakness always) and spending enough time with the community (thank you @trail.femmes for that).
As a coach, I can motivate my athletes to chase their goals, plan their runs, workouts and race calendar, and give them tough love whenever required. But I should start giving myself a kick in the butt more often…
