When you miss a morning run!

I generally don’t like missing morning runs! Runs should be in the morning when you are not fatigued and it helps kickstart the day in style.

But when I have a sleepless night, like yesterday (thanks to the work stress), my brain forces the body to laziness mode of ‘you deserve more sleep; you can always run in the evening’. Winters, cozy afternoons – these work. No meeting afternoons (like today), I will be okay! Hmm, a normal day – I will have to move around workouts and I absolutely hate it!

As someone who like to plan the days in advance a change like this bit of stressful even if the day is easy.

With a 12km run and a strength workout to do, as soon as my brain started functioning in the morning, my brain started the time scheduling.

OK! You need to start working from 8 am. Sign off from work at 4pm. Then do the strength workout for 45 min and step out for run at 5pm. It will be dark earlier; so, make sure to finish the run before 6:30 so you can have one more tea. And, since you are working out and running in the evening, no spicy lunch!!!

Well! Thank you brain! If you had not ‘pushed’ me for few more minutes of sleep I’d have just gotten done with my run in the morning!
