New Year, Just Old Me

Hello, 2023! I was not ready for you. But here you are!

2022 has been one of a kind year for me. It was supposed to be normalizing the new normal. Instead, I got truckloads of normal! Too much travel, too many events, too many activities! By December 31, 10pm I was exhausted to the core! I just wanted to sleep!

Traveled to 5 countries in 2022! That is an all-time record and I don’t want to break it at all!

I re-discovered the artist in me last year. That is a huge positive of 2022. Started bullet journaling, art journaling, doodling and daily journaling. All these helped me stay sane though the madness of the year.

Running – one of my best years. Finally checked Comrades off the list. And though with a number of injuries, 2 PBs – improved the marathon timings in March and 10km in December. Also, more than the miles and records, I have learned to trust me and my abilities more than ever. Self-doubts were always my best of friends. Added with fear of failure, I was not kind to myself at all. I had many low points in 2022. Thankfully people around me were understanding and could get out of the rut.

For 2023: There is no ‘new me’. It is going to be the same old me continuing to learn and grow and improve myself.

Cheers to new learnings and experiences!
